Welcome to Shabbat Retreat. Below, we describe the terms and conditions applicable to a booking and stay with Shabbat Retreat, as well as the terms and conditions applicable to the use of our website.
When we use the term “Site,” we are referring to our www.ShabbatRetreat.com website, together with any affiliated mobile applications, as well as to any content, functionality, and services offered on or through this website and/or any affiliated mobile applications.
The Site is owned and operated by Shabbat Retreat LLC (who we refer to, together with our affiliates, as “Shabbat Retreat,” “Tabernacle in the Wilderness”, “us,” “we,” or “our,” depending on the context). When we refer to “you” and “your” in these terms, we are referring to you as a visitor to and user of the Site and, as applicable, to you as a visitor to one of our Shabbat Retreat properties.
Acceptance of Terms
YOU SHOULD CAREFULLY READ THESE TERMS. By accessing, browsing, or otherwise using the Site, you are creating a binding contract between you and us, and you are acknowledging that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these terms.
We may make changes to the Site or these terms at any time. Any modifications will be effective when the changes are posted to the Site. You can review the most current version of these terms at any time by accessing the section of the Site labeled [Terms & Conditions], and you can determine when this Terms of Use Policy was last revised by referring to the “Last Updated” legend at the top of these terms. You understand and agree that your continued access to or use of the Site after any posted modification to these terms indicates your acceptance of the modification, even if you did not take the time to read the modification.
BOOKING AND STAY TERMS
Shabbat Retreat Units
“Shabbat Retreat,” also known as “Shabbat Retreat Units,” “Shabbat Retreat Houses,” “Shabbat Retreat Cabins,” “Tiny Houses,” “Shabbat Retreat Outposts”, “Shabbat Retreat Chic RVs, “Custom RVs”, “Bungalows”, “Boat Cabins”, "Shabbat Retreats", "Shabbat Retreat Getaways", "Weekend Getaways", "Shabbat Retreat Great Escapes", "Shabbat Retreat Escapes", "Escapes" or “Shabbat Retreat Tiny Houses” are non-motorized recreational units and vehicles that are built to recreational standards and maintained in good condition for camping purposes.
Shabbat Retreat Getaways & Great Escapes
“Shabbat Retreat Getaways & Great Escapes” refer to each of our properties. Property features, guest benefits and services may vary among particular properties. You can obtain more information about a particular Shabbat Retreat at the time of booking.
General Statement of Caution
Shabbat Retreats are located on our privately held campground sites that are often very rural, mostly undeveloped plots of land in the woods. Guests are completely responsible for their own safety and for having basic wilderness survival skills (e.g. do not approach wild animals, do not leave food out, etc.). Shabbat Retreat is not liable for bodily injury (including death) or damage to personal property, including vehicles, due to exposure to inclement weather or rural, rugged settings. By booking a Shabbat Retreat, guests recognize and accept this responsibility and affirm they have these general skills.
In addition, while people enjoy our Escapes for their secluded settings, our cabins and related facilities are shared by all guests. We do our best to keep all facilities safe and clean. Shabbat Retreat is not liable for illness that may result in whole or in part from the use of our facilities. By booking, guests recognize and accept that responsibility for their physical health and informing themselves of such protocols is fully their own.
Guests are responsible for their own transportation to and from the Escape. The Shabbat Retreat Campkeeper Team cannot provide transportation for guests. There are no exceptions to the cancellation or rescheduling policy in the event that a guest is not able to secure transportation to or from the Escape.
Shabbat Retreat Booking
A Shabbat Retreat is booked upon receipt of the booking payment. This payment should be made by credit card through the Shabbat Retreat website. Your booking is not confirmed until Shabbat Retreat receives the payment and you have received the confirmation email. This confirmation email contains booking details, contact details, and other arrival and departure instructions. Furthermore, the guest will receive an email 1 week before check-in regarding the exact location of the Shabbat Retreat. One day before your check-in date, Shabbat Retreat may run a $1 authorization charge to the card used for your booking. If the charge is not authorized, you will be contacted by email to update your payment method.
Group Bookings
Our mission is to offer simple Getaways & Escapes for people to unplug and connect with loved ones - Family and Friends. While we do our best to accommodate requests for cabins and campsites located close to each other, Shabbat Retreat is not the place for your next "bnb" HOUSE party.
However, we do offer custom full-site buyouts for groups. Note that any reservation requesting more than three cabins or campsites requires a full-site buyout. We're happy to answer any questions you may have. Feel free to Contact Us!
Service Fees
Bookings may include a nightly service fee, plus applicable tax and/or a “Service Fee”. The Service Fee varies based on location and ranges from $10 to $15.

Promotions, offers, coupons, vouchers, or codes may not be applied to the Service Fee, unless the terms for such promotion, offer or discount explicitly allow for it. This means that when you book a stay, you will not be eligible for an additional discount on the Service Fee on that booking unless specifically stated in the terms of the discount.
Bookings made with the Service Fee are subject to all cancellation and early departure policies and fees, and other payment terms as applicable.
We may change the Service Fee at any time, with or without notice, including the pricing, associated benefits, and cancellation terms. We may communicate these changes to you by email, and any changes will be posted in an update to these terms.
The Service Fee has no predetermined end date and may continue until terminated by Shabbat Retreat, which may happen at any time at Shabbat Retreat’s discretion, with or without notice.

Shabbat Retreat offers the purchase of gift cards through our Site only. The gift card includes a code that may be used to book a Shabbat Retreat stay in any available cabin or unit of the recipient’s choosing.

Without limiting that general requirement, you agree that you will not: (a) use any automated means (such as robots, spiders, scripts, or other devices or programs) to access the Site or collect any content; (b) engage in any “screen scraping,” “database scraping” or similar activities to obtain any content from the Site; (c) accumulate or index, directly or indirectly, any content or portion of the Site for any commercial purpose whatsoever; or (d) otherwise use the Site to engage in any illegal activity, or to engage in conduct that is defamatory, libelous, threatening, or harassing, or that infringes on a third party’s proprietary rights.
Further, you understand that the Site strives to protect its security and integrity and those of its users. Dispute Resolution
In the interest of resolving disputes between you and Shabbat Retreat in the most expedient and cost effective manner, you and Shabbat Retreat agree that any dispute arising out of or in any way related to these messaging terms and conditions ("Messaging Terms") or your receipt of text messages from Shabbat Retreat or its service providers will be resolved by binding arbitration. Arbitration is less formal than a lawsuit in court. Arbitration uses a neutral arbitrator instead of a judge or jury, may allow for more limited discovery than in court, and can be subject to very limited review by courts. Arbitrators can award the same damages and relief that a court can award. This agreement to arbitrate disputes includes all claims arising out of or in any way related to these Messaging Terms, or your receipt of text messages from Shabbat Retreat or its service providers whether based in contract, tort, statute, fraud, misrepresentation, or any other legal theory, and regardless of when a claim arises. YOU UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT, BY AGREEING TO THESE MESSAGING TERMS, YOU AND Shabbat Retreat ARE EACH WAIVING THE RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY OR TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION AND THAT THESE MESSAGING TERMS SHALL BE SUBJECT TO AND GOVERNED BY THE FEDERAL ARBITRATION ACT. Exceptions. Notwithstanding subsection (a) above, nothing in these Messaging Terms will be deemed to waive, preclude, or otherwise limit the right of you or Shabbat Retreat to: (i) bring an individual action in small claims court; (ii) pursue an enforcement action through the applicable federal, state, or local agency if that action is available; (iii) seek injunctive relief in aid of arbitration from a court of competent jurisdiction; or (iv) file suit in a court of law to address an intellectual property infringement claim. Arbitrator. Any arbitration between you and Shabbat Retreat will be governed by the Federal Arbitration Act and the Commercial Dispute Resolution Procedures and Supplementary Procedures for Consumer Related Disputes (collectively, "AAA Rules") of the American Arbitration Association ("AAA"), as modified by these Messaging Terms, and will be administered by the AAA. The AAA Rules and filing forms are available online at www.adr.org, by calling the AAA at 1-800-778-7879, or by contacting Shabbat Retreat. The arbitrator has exclusive authority to resolve any dispute relating to the interpretation, applicability, or enforceability of this binding arbitration agreement. Notice; Process. If you or Shabbat Retreat intends to seek arbitration, then the party seeking arbitration must first send a written notice of the dispute to the other party by U.S. Mail ("Notice"). Shabbat Retreat address for Notice is: 9450 Pinecroft Dr, #9745 The Woodlands, TX 77380 Attn: Chief Executive Officer. The Notice must: (i) describe the nature and basis of the claim or dispute; and (ii) set forth the specific relief sought ("Demand"). You and Shabbat Retreat will make good faith efforts to resolve the claim directly, but if you and Shabbat Retreat do not reach an agreement to do so within 30 days after the Notice is received, you or Shabbat Retreat may commence an arbitration proceeding. During the arbitration, the amount of any settlement offer made by you or Shabbat Retreat must not be disclosed to the arbitrator until after the arbitrator makes a final decision and award, if any.
